Christine Stidham is a sculptor, metalsmith, and creative business owner living and working in North Texas. Following successful careers in business ownership and information technology, she returned to school in 2022 to study art. She holds a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Metalsmithing and Jewelry from the University of North Texas. Her artwork ranges from one-of-a-kind art jewelry to small- and large-scale sculpture with an emphasis on materiality. Her sculpture, The Dance, which is made of wood, copper, steel, and encaustic wax, was selected for the 63rd Annual Voertman Exhibition at the Cora Stafford Gallery in Denton, TX in 2024. Another work, Identity Crisis, which uses infrared technology as a medium was exhibited in the exhibition Electric!, at the Greater Denton Arts Council in Denton, TX, October, 2024. In 2025 she installed two public sculptures for the city of Corinth, Texas, Coneflowers and Butterflies. She also owns and operates Color Me Mine of Highland Village, a paint-your-own-pottery studio, with the mission of providing art as entertainment to North Texas communities in an environment that inspires creativity and fun.
